The number of deaths reported each week does not exactly correspond with the number which occurred during that week, but the discrepancy is a Slight one in most cases. The mortality report will in future be published weekly, and will contain the returns from all cities and towns having a population of more than inhabitants. A monthly report will also be issued. Excerpt from Bulletin of the North Carolina Board of Health, Vol. 4: April, 1889 Beaufort - Dr. Wm. A. Blount, Washing ton. The sanitary condition of the county continues good. There has been no epidemic of any kind among domestic animals. The water served the inmates of the jail and poor house is good. Of the 10 prisoners confined in the jail, 3 show signs of successful vaccination; and of the 12 inmates of the poor-house, only 4 give evidence of successful vaccination. Ber!z e. - Dr. H. V. Dunston, Windsor. An epidemic of erysipelas in mild form has pre vailed to some extent in and around Windsor; tonsillitis has also prevailed in several portions of the county. There has been no epidemic of any kind among domestic animals. The gen eral sanitary condition of the county is fair.
