Water quality of the Red River and its tributaries in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota was examined. Tabular data are provided on: sources of pollution (municipal and industrial), stream flow, interference with water uses, adequacy of treatment measures, action of official agencies, Public Health Service grants for construction of waste treatment facilities, nature of delays in abating pollution, and time schedule for proposed remedial action.
