This is my testimony after reading this book in one setting: With intent, intensity and integrity LaCretia wrote this book and it is indeed a page turner. Even though I know at least seventy percent of her testimony because I was a personal witness to it and knew most of the family and friends that she graciously changed their names to protect; I honestly don't think they would want to be protected. I think that they would be as I am, so Godly proud of LaCretia for telling her story honestly, deeply, passionately, and beautifully. She is more than transparent in her sharing; completely exposed and tremendously truthful about her inner feelings and painful journey. She shares her vulnerabilities in such a way that you find yourself saying, "I should be so courageously honest about my own addictions." I want this book to get into the hands of women from all walks of life because I know somewhere between these lines they will find their "lonely, loveless, painful, hopeful, vulnerable, truthful, longing, and most of all they will like LaCretia come to know that God's love "without condemnation" is available to them as well. My prayer is that wherever each woman finds her state in life to be while reading this book, she will receive the message of unfailing love and receive the resolve to trust God with her pain and her plans. My book is Holy Spirit inspired, prompting me on a journey from conflict to peace. Every psalm and poem reflects my inner most experiences through my turbulent life including many failures and triumphs. God has proven to me time and time again that His love, strength, and wisdom is present in every aspect of my life. He gave me hope when I had none. Jesus helped me start over and cast my burdens onto Him. The life I lead was long and hard and some of these psalms and poems tell my story of pain, loss, failure, and acceptance, giving me a much needed hard look at myself to make a drastic change in my life. I continue to face challenges on this journey being prompted by the Holy Spirit to excel and not lose faith, and He has opened my eyes and helped me to accept, forgive, repent, and share my experiences. I still have many weak moments, but Jesus shows me that in holding fast through faith He will never leave me. No matter how hard life gets or how long my journey is, until Im called home, Jesuss love will never fail me.
