The Momentum Theory is a term derived from a study done for a master's degree, through a survey done with five French pastors from the District of Quebec of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. It is within this context that an empirical qualitative survey was done to find out how pastors train disciples in the gift of the Holy Spirit. The result of this research uses the term momentum, a science term that defines the mass and velocity of a body; within the scope of this research, velocity defines the rate of spiritual gift formation and mass the four weights of spiritual gift formation: implicit and explicit gift formation together with knowledge and experience related to spiritual gifts.The pastors under study are either building or keeping momentum and a few have been able to reproduce another moving body - a new church plant with a Pentecostal identify, thus contributing to the Great Commission using the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which God gives for the edification and service to the body of Christ.
