Let the flocks and herds greatly multiply upon the mountains and hills. Let thy great kindness conquer and sub due the unbelief of Thy people, incline them to gather in upon this land according to Thy word. Let the large Ships of nations bring them from the distant isles, etc. Oh, the meaning of that prayer and the humility of the Divinely called man who uttered it! That prayer is recorded in heaven, as well as upon earth, as shown by its fulfillment before the eyes of all nations. That prayer answers every question that can arise concerning the gathering of Judah in this day. It stands as another witness to all the world of the truth of the restored gos pel of Jesus Christ and the Divine commission that rests upon the leaders of God's Church, to which the world in derision gives the name of Mormonism. Despite present unpopularity and persecution, the world will some day come to realize that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been God's instrument for the fulfillment of His purposes in these latter days.
