DOWNLOAD EBOOKLearn the entire fascinating story of the American Hot Rod Association (AHRA) in this wonderfully illustrated color history. When the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) was formed in 1951 by Wally Parks, the reasoning for the formation was to "create order from chaos" by instituting safety rules and performance standards that helped legitimize the sport of drag racing. Some organization was certainly necessary. A postwar boom in automotive enthusiasm was reaching new heights, and Hot Rod magazine and the NHRA were right in the thick of it. The NHRA hosted its first drag racing event in 1953, and in 1955, the organization staged its first national event, which was simply called "The Nationals." The AHRA formed in 1956 as an alternative to the NHRA, where the drivers voted on the rules (rather than sanctioning bodies and tracks), and their influence on the sport was felt almost immediately. When the NHRA denied the use of nitromethane in 1957, the AHRA approved it. When the NHRA banned aircraft-powered dragsters in 1961, the AHRA welcomed them. When the NHRA said no to the emerging Funny Car in 1965, the AHRA said yes. When fans and racers screamed for a heads-up Super Stock category in 1968, the AHRA delivered. The AHRA was called a rebel association. Some say that it was more of an association that got things done—to the delight of fans and racers. The AHRA was on equal ground with the NHRA by the 1970s, drawing enormous crowds and racer entries.
In this fascinating history, veteran author Doug Boyce tells the story of the AHRA, the rise, the competition, the events, and the eventual downfall of the organization. After AHRA President Jim Tice passed away in 1982, internal fighting for control of the association resulted in its doom. Get the whole story here, and add this wonderful volume to your drag racing library.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKRelive Ford’s glory days in the muscle car era in this stunning new volume covering the popular and powerful Cobra Jets! Ford’s “Total Performance” racing program in the early 1960s was the first stone turned in the task of repurposing its image to the youth market. The introduction of the Mustang increased that exponentially, but even in 289 Hi-Po form it was no match for the Pontiac GTO or other muscle cars. Neither was the 1966 Fairlane GT or subsequent 390 Mustang the following year. But when the 428 Cobra Jet Mustang debuted at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals in 1968, that image evolved from wholesome to fearsome! Cobra Jet Mustangs downed all comers and took the vaunted Super Stock Eliminator crown while introducing a new weapon under the hood to serve as fair warning to what was to be uncoiled at the stoplight. By the next model year with the revolutionary shaker hood on Cobra Jet-equipped Mach Is and the striking snake adorning the sheet metal of the midsize Cobra, Ford’s image makeover was complete. The demise of the muscle car era didn’t signify the end of the Cobra Jet, as Ford continued the performance reign with the 351 Cobra Jet. The legacy left by Mustang, Cougar, Torino, Cyclone, and Ranchero 428, 429, and 351 Cobra Jet-powered vehicles is indelible. Mustang Monthly editor Rob Kinnan and muscle car expert Diego Rosenberg bring this history back to life in an all-encompassing book that is the first to specifically feature all Cobra Jet cars, including the purpose-built drag cars of today! Cobra Jet: The History of Ford’s Greatest High Performance Cars will hypnotize you as the first and complete history of Ford’s most famous engines during the era’s peak.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKIn his second book, “A Revelation Story Revealed”, Dr. T.R. Lawson reveals why he chose to write his first book, “A Revelation Story”, as he did. He takes the reader through each chapter of his previous book, explaining his thinking behind the writing choices he made and providing back up scriptures for them. While his first book was a fictional story, this book addresses much of the scripture which has to do with end-time events. Because the Book of Revelation is much like a jig saw puzzle with many pieces that must be properly fitted together, Dr. Lawson takes the reader on a line-by-line, chapter-by-chapter journey through it. “A Revelation Story Revealed” includes 28 Microstudies which are a treasure trove of scripturally backed studies that go into detail about various subjects including: “All About 666”; “Demotion Theory”; “The Great Tribulation”; “The Parable of 10 Virgins”; “Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream and Mystery Babylon”; “ The Doctrine of Balaam”; “Spiritual Switchism”; “Spiritual Maturity Theory”, and more. Dr. Lawson also includes his personal testimony, and the special sign God gave him which reveals a hidden trend throughout the Bible. Believing that as of December 6th, 2017, when the U.S. officially recognized Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel, the timeclock for the last generation has started, he feels called of God to be a specific voice to this last generation, as validated by his God-given sign. For any who don’t know the Lord, he invites you to come and know Him, and to personally experience His free gift of salvation. For those who do know the Lord, he encourages you to learn how to walk in spiritual maturity and overcome the evil one. This will be especially important in the coming days as we draw closer to the coming of the Lord and stand against the ever-increasing spiritual darkness that seeks to overtake the world.
