DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe Cave of the Opal Eyed Snake is the first book in the Series, The Aussie Time Travellers. Three Australian boys follow the sound of a didgeridoo and are enticed into a hidden cave containing ancient rock carvings. They are intrigued by the carving of a snake with an eye made of fiery opal. This carving was actually a time portal placed there thousands of years ago by a now extinct race of people. Using their special knowledge, these people had learnt the art of traveling between selected time periods. Inadvertently activating the time portal, Matt, Josh and Zack are transported to the 1800's. After traveling with Australian Aborigines for some time, they realise they are now in another level of existence. They can only get back by activating the time portal in the cave of the opal eyed snake. Each adventure takes them further away from home. They are captured by Australia's famous outlaws, Ned Kelly and his gang; who are on the run from the police. The boys eventually manage to link up with some drovers who are heading north. While mustering cattle, they are attacked by a tribe of ferocious Aborigines, experience a stampede and hunt dingoes. After the muster, the boys are kidnapped and taken inland by a drover who is suffering from gold fever. He cruelly forces them to dig for gold, but they manage to escape. They find their way to the sea where they pay the captain of a ship to take them back to Brisbane, not knowing the captain is a notorious slave trader. They manage to get off the ship at the mouth of the Brisbane River and travel inland. After being attacked by a poisonous brown snake, they find another portal and realise they have found the way home again.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe first archaeological evidence of the historical reality of the Gospel story. From a historical point of view, the uniqueness of this cave is that it contains archaeological evidence that comes to us from the very time of the personalities and events described in the Gospels. For here is the largest ritual bathing pool ever found in the Jerusalem area, and found in the village where John the Baptist was born, showing unmistakable signs of ritual use in the first century AD. Also in the cave is the earliest ever Christian art, depicting John the Baptist as well as the three crosses of the crucifixion. By using the forensic techniques available to the modern archaeologist, Gibson and his international team have been able to draw information from the drawings, pottery, coins, bones, remains of ritual fire and pieces of cloth found in the cave and match these up with the contemporary literary sources. This is a unique opportunity to build up a picture of the very first Christians, how they lived and even what they believed. As Gibson writes: “By fitting together the new archaeological facts with the historical information available (and sometimes buried) in scholarly literature, I believe I am able to throw an amazing amount of light on the personality and mission of John the Baptist. Who was he? Where did he come from? What were his beliefs and what was the baptism all about?”

DOWNLOAD EBOOKFor two decades, paleoecologist David Burney and his wife, Lida Pigott Burney, have led an excavation of Makauwahi Cave on the island of Kaua‘i, uncovering the fascinating variety of plants and animals that have inhabited Hawaii throughout its history. From the unique perspective of paleoecology—the study of ancient environments—Burney has focused his investigations on the dramatic ecological changes that began after the arrival of humans one thousand years ago, detailing not only the environmental degradation they introduced but also asking how and why this destruction occurred and, most significantly, what might happen in the future. Using Kaua‘i as an ecological prototype and drawing on the author’s adventures in Madagascar, Mauritius, and other exciting locales, Burney examines highly pertinent theories about current threats to endangered species, restoration of ecosystems, and how people can work together to repair environmental damage elsewhere on the planet. Intriguing illustrations, including a reconstruction of the ancient ecological landscape of Kaua‘i by the artist Julian Hume, offer an engaging window into the ecological marvels of another time. A fascinating adventure story of one man’s life in paleoecology, Back to the Future in the Caves of Kaua‘i reveals the excitement—and occasional frustrations—of a career spent exploring what the past can tell us about the future.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe Cave of Mystery is a mid–twentieth–century story filled with the exciting adventure of two twelve–year–old friends who live in the small mid–western town of Hickory Creek. All school year, Andy and Wes overheard the older kids talk about a cave, near the old abandoned farm, that none had ever been able to find. Fascinated that no one had found a simple cave, Andy wakes early on the first day of summer vacation, quickly does his chores and rushes over to Wes's house to see if he could go swimming and possibly do some exploring. On the way to the abandoned farm, Andy and Wes must walk through the woods, which just happen to be next to an old lady's house. The old lady is known and feared by all the kids in the county as the "Old Witch." None of the children dare to get too close for fear they will never be heard from again. During their first day of searching, the two friends stumbled upon the cave. It looks normal. However, it isn't until Andy and Wes invited their siblings to come along with them that it all changed. Summer will never be the same... With this, her first book, L.A. Williams gives us a story for the child in all of us.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKREASON FOR THE BOOK THE CAVE OF KNOWLEDGE As a man that carries the wrong name, I found it necessary to take all my questions to the moral court, in so doing I purge myself of the anger in me. The other reason for the book is this, some people know of the actions of the past, and some do not, and this book is to remind those who have forgotten, and to inform those who did not know, this way, when a judgment is made, it is made on facts. To my mind it is far better to write of my feelings, than to shoot because of my feelings.
