DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis study on the systematics and distributional ecology of Ampelisca in the region between the Bering Sea and Oregon is based mainly on collections in the National Museum of Natural Sciences. The study describes nine species whose range is extended from Oregon to northern British Columbia or southeast Alaska and records three species near the St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea. A new species from northern B.C. waters is described and a bathymetric species is elevated to species rank. Two geographic variants are elevated to separate species. A key to the genus for the northeast Pacific region is included and a cluster analysis is performed on the northeast Pacific Ampelisca fauna.
