These were, then, the Cayuse, the Chevaux à (au) Pelouse, the Texas Pony, the Indian Pony, the Cowpony, the New World Spanish Barb, the Cavallo, the Spanish Pony, and the Spanish Mustang that roamed free throughout the West.
