Part I of the volume summarizes the discussions of the main issues that arose from the national reports and the technical papers presented at the Meeting. It contains the conclusions and recommendations adopted by the meeting. The principal recommendation was policy guidelines for obtaining maximum sustainable benefits from the exploitation of the fishery resources within the EEZs.
