DOWNLOAD EBOOK"The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is undertaking a 1.27-mile long project to extend Frontier Drive from Franconia-Springfield Parkway (Route 289) to Loisdale Road adding braided ramps. In 2018, on behalf of the VDOT, Commonwealth Heritage Group conducted a phase I cultural resources survey of the area of potential effect (APE) for this project that included limited historic background research, a reconnaissance architectural survey, and an archaeological survey. In 2021, VDOT made changes to the APE and Commonwealth conducted a supplemental phase I cultural resources survey for areas within the revised APE."--Page i.
