Excerpt from Original Letters Relative to the English Reformation: Written During the Reigns of King Henry VIII., King Edward Vi;, And Queen Mary, Chiefly From the Archives of Zurich; Translated From Authenticated Copies of the Autographs, and Edited for the Parker Society When the first portion of the present series was delivered to the members of the Parker Society, in the course of last autumn, it was supposed that the entire collection would prove too extensive to be conveniently contained in one volume. Upon subsequent examination, however, it appeared to be practicable, as it was clearly desirable, to comprise the whole in one volume, only dividing it in the delivery into two por tions. The paging of the two portions therefore has been made continuous, and with this latter portion is given an Index to the whole, as well as a general Title-page, so as to meet the wishes of those who may prefer binding the entire series in one volume.
