On-surface synthesis is appearing as an extremely promising strategy to create organic nanoarchitectures with atomic precision. Carbon-nanowalls (CNWs) can be described as two-dimensional graphite nanostructures with edges comprised of stacks of plane graphene sheets standing almost vertically on the substrate.
