Excerpt from Oceanographic Observations: North Atlantic Ocean Station Delta, 44 N., 41 W., July 1966-August 1967 The results of eight oceanographic patrols on Ocean Station delta between July 1966 and July 1967 confirmed the earlier reports of complex oceanographic conditions in this area. It was found that the best way to describe the oceano graphic conditions for a given period of time was in terms of deviations from a mean value.
