The Numeric New Testament was originally transcribed by Ivan Panin. He believed he found a mathematical pattern in the Greek texts of the bible that would indicate the documents that were most authentic and correct. Mr. Panin devoted much of his life to proving the inspired Word contained certain watermarks by God to preserve its truth. The Greek texts that contained this pattern were the ones he chose to be most reliable. These Greek texts were then translated into English. Ivan Panin used a literal word for word type translation for this work. When word for word Greek was too fragmented to read, Mr. Panin added additional words to give the sentence structure; marking those words in italics. The literal translating of words gives a new richness and depth into God's word. With scripture renderings like: "And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us," (Jn 1:14); "and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the geenna of fire." (Mt. 5:22); Amen I say to unto you that this race shall not pass away, till all be accomplished. (Lk. 21:32). Reading the Word from this translation will give new perspective of Scripture and is certainly worth adding to any collection of quality bible translations currently available. A Translator's Testimony. J.B. Phillips says: "I have felt compelled to write this book. IT is my testimony to the historicity and reliability of the New Testament. "Few people have had such a close and constant contact with the New Testament as I have had. Even fewer have taken the trouble to understand the business of 'communication.' I say this in no spirit of conceit; it is a matter of simple fact. I therefore felt that it was high time that someone, who has spent the best years of his life in studying both the New Testament and good modern communicative English, spoke out. I do not care a rap what the 'avant-garde' scholars say; I do very much care what God says and does." from the Forward, RING OF TRUTH

It avoids the pitfalls of translations that paraphrase God's Word, but it also seeks to avoid the rigid nature of other word-for-word translations. Unlike other English translations that are protected by copyrights, the New Heart English Bible (NHEB) can be read, quoted, copied, translated and distributed for free without receiving permission from a publisher. And unlike the King James Version -- the most popular public domain Bible -- the NHEB can be understood easily by the modern reader. The result: a modern version of God's Word that can be spread across the globe freely. While other translations limit the number of verses that can be copied or reprinted, the NHEB encourages such distribution. Each printed copy includes a link to a free PDF. Examples of well-known verses from the NHEB: -- "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). -- "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). -- "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The NHEB presents the most updated scholarship and best manuscripts to share the New Testament with complete accuracy. The NHEB includes more footnotes than other translations. The footnotes provide the reader with a quick glance at alternate translations, without interfering with normal reading. Don't be limited by other Bible translations. Grab your copy of the New Heart English Bible and enjoy the New Testament in a modern-yet-accurate format that's free of copyright.

Through its translation philosophy, the Majority English Bible strives for sameness, the familiar Scriptures as we have known them; yet it must be distinctive from the plethora of Bible translations in order to justify its existence. Therefore, the Common Bible, Inc., producer of the MEB, established a certain philosophy to create a text different yet familiar. The translation philosophy centers around three concepts: literal, traditional, and modern. It is to be as literal as possible to the original Greek, traditional in its familiar cadence and format, and modern in its writing. (From back of dust jacket).
