First, you'll take a quiz to help you gauge your current relationship with your dog. Next, you'll learn the building blocks for creating a positive, mutually rewarding bond-from granting privileges to being unpredictable to offering ample praise and playtime. Books with great in-depth and research into the characters professional background and work life has always inspired me into writing something similar. Working in Qatar in the travel industry had sown in me an urge to write something with that backdrop. I have woven several incidents that had taken place in my own office, and have brought to life the people I had met and worked with there and subtly added my own imagination and storytelling skills, which would surely give a real life like taste for my readers when they read my debut novel.

Beyond Deceit is a novel for the intrepid reader. It is wildly imaginative fiction that sears the mind with a fantastical tale so well written and plotted that it could be mistaken for reality. The reader is pulled into the story when a sick old man named Karl is found comatose in an alley in Los Angeles and taken to a hospital/rest home in Palm Springs. There he is cared for by a staff that includes Jason, a curious young man who is immediately drawn to the stranger. What is his story and how did he get to be the way he was found? Little by little, Jason gains Karl's confidence and he listens to a story that will change his life. Karl tells of a city under the streets of Berlin, Germany, he discovered during World War II. The underground community is populated by surviving Nazis who are planning to unite with Arab terrorists and a group of radical Hispanics living and operating in the United States. Their goal is to destroy the United States, followed by world domination. Beyond Deceit is more than a good read. It is a must read. Amazon five star reviews: "A must read for history lovers." "A nail biter." "A great read." "Very compelling." "An exciting book filled with suspense." "I can't wait for the next one." "Fantastic read." Raised in Dayton, Nevada,

Carpe Diem If you want to explore Newfoundland and the maritime provinces of Canada, please bear in mind that you have to slip into a warming anorak even in summer. Every rain free day is a gift at the edge of the Labrador Current. Rubber boots and good rain wear are also essential. You can admire icebergs from Greenland on the island in the north as late as June to July, and the small harbours are often decorated with ice floes until well into the summer. But when the sun breaks through, this region of Canada opens up in all its diversity and drama. In the north, a former Viking settlement bears witness to the earliest community, even before the Europeans discovered America and later established themselves there. Small, picturesque fishing villages tell of a hard struggle for existence. In the past as well as today. Lonely stretches of land give flora and fauna the opportunity to face the harsh weather. The capital, St. Johns, impresses with colourful wooden houses and a lively pub culture. The oddball humour of the population is unique, and they all love their musical heritage. Carpe diem! Seize the day!

Including classical, modern, and postmodern approaches to theological anthropology, this volume covers the entire spectrum of thought on the doctrines of creation, the human person as imago Dei, sin, and grace. The editors have gathered an exceptionally diverse range of voices, ensuring ecumenical balance (Protestant, Roman Catholic and Orthodox) and the inclusion of previously neglected perspectives (women, African American, Asian, Latinx, and LGBTQ). The contributors revisit authors from the “Great Tradition” (early church, medieval, and modern), and discuss them alongside critical and liberationist approaches (ranging from feminist, decolonial, and intersectional theory to critical race theory and queer performance theory). This is a much-needed overview of a rapidly evolving field.

This is the second part of Elsie Frederick’s autobiography, so picking up from the first book and the astonishing saga of George’s Heart Transplant, this brings us right up to date. She is not an author; these are probably the only books she will ever write. At 70 years of age and locked down amidst the Corona Virus, Covid 19, epidemic, she has taken the opportunity to finish the story started over 30 years ago. The ensuing years brought more serious health issues to deal with. From Stroke through to Dementia, the problems she encountered could have been so much easier to deal with if she had received help from her extended family instead of denial, greed, avarice, deceit and lies. Her love and loyalty was tested to the limit. It shows the devastation that can happen between families when support and understanding is needed but not forthcoming. It became, eventually in 2013, catastrophic. What followed was almost too dreadful to believe. It has taken the last 7 years to get her head straight and finally heal herself. She will never get over what happened but at least she can now go forward. It has been a catharsis for her to write, excruciatingly painful but necessary, as it is a true record of what happened and the process has given her the freedom to live and laugh again... Regrets, yes of course, it should never have happened, but it did, and she regards it now as the Ultimate Survival.
