El proposito de este trabajo es el de proponer una metodologia que integre la evaluacion del grado de madurez de un sistema de gestion de calidad a partir del cumplimiento de los requisitos del modelo ISO 9001:2000. Se presenta, ademas, una propuesta de metodologia para sistemas de calidad cuyo interes esta en evaluar el grado de madurez del sistema de gestion. En forma general las empresas que tienen interes en implantar sistemas de gestion de calidad pueden decidir en lograr una implantacion sin certificar, pueden lograr una certificacion ISO 9001:2000, o en algunos casos siendo mas ambiciosos, participar en algun premio decalidad, en incluso, puede existir alguna organizacion que se interese por varias opciones"

Descended from a long and ancient lineage, tapirs are important tropical forest seed dispersers. However, today, all species of tapirs are threatened to various degrees by habitat destruction and hunting. This action plan was written with wildlife biologists, ecologists, administrators, educators and local conservation officials in mind and is aimed at those countries with tapir populations. It provides a brief natural history of each species and its objective is to aid in their conservation by catalyzing conservation action. In addition, it is hoped that the contents of the plan will stimulate further research into this fascinating group of animals.
