DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe integrated and differential cross sections for the production of pairs of isolated photons is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC. A data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 inverse picobarns is analysed. A next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD calculation is compared to the measurements. A discrepancy is observed for regions of the phase space where the two photons have an azimuthal angle difference, $\Delta(\phi)$, less than approximately 2.8.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe measurement of the cross section for the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons in proton-antiproton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=1.96~TeV is presented. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9.5~fb$^{-1}$, collected with the Collider Detector at Fermilab in Run~II. The measurement is performed as a function of the photon transverse energy ($E_T^{\gamma}$) covering the range of 30~GeV$

DOWNLOAD EBOOKA measurement of the inclusive production cross section of isolated prompt photons in proton-antiproton collisions at center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$=1.96TeV is presented. The results are obtained using the full Run II data sample collected with the Collider Detector at the Fermilab Tevatron, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9.5fb$^{-1}$. The cross section is measured as a function of photon transverse energy, $E_T^{\gamma}$, in the range 30$

DOWNLOAD EBOOKFrom March until November 2010 the Compact Muon Solenoid 36 pb-1 of pp collisions at [the square root of sigma]= 7 TeV. One of the first precision Model that can be performed with this data is the measurement cross section and the charge asymmetry in the cross section. measurements are performed in the electron decay channel. The experiment recorded tests of the Standard of the W-production In this thesis, both results obtained are: [sigma](W -> ev) = 10.48 ± 0.03(stat.) 0.15(syst.) ± 0.09(th.) ± 0.42(lumi.)nb [sigma](W+ -> e+v, U(W+ - ez) = 1.430 ± 0.008(stat.) ± 0.022(syst.) ± 0.029(th.) [sigma](W- ->e-v) The measurements agree with state-of-the-art NNLO QCD calculations with the latest parton distribution functions.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis article reports a measurement of the cross section of prompt isolated photon pair production in p{bar p} collisions at a total energy √s = 1.96 TeV using data of 5.36 fb−1 integrated luminosity collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The measured cross section, differential in basic kinematic variables, is compared with three perturbative QCD predictions, a leading order (LO) parton shower calculation and two next-to-leading order (NLO) calculations. The NLO calculations reproduce most aspects of the data. By including photon radiation from quarks before and after hard scattering, the parton shower prediction becomes competitive with the NLO predictions.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKA prompt photon cross section measurement from the CDF experiment at the Fermilab p{bar p} Collider is presented Detector and trigger upgrades, as well as six times the integrated luminosity compared with our previous publication, have contributed to a much more precise measurement and extended P{sub T} range. As before, the cross section agrees qualitatively with QCD calculations but has a steeper slope at low P{sub T}.
