This is no ordinary investment book. It goes beyond the basic investment framework as it dives deeper into how our mind works and how we can calm our mind when distractions surface, in order to arrive at the right investment ideas. It draws reference to various scriptures, especially “Yoga Sutra”, written thousands of years ago by Maharishi Patanjali - the founder and ultimate guru of Ashtanga Yoga. In addition to providing a simple overview of the complex investment ecosystem, primarily equity, the book dives deep into the workings of the human mind and explains how it can be enriched with the insights of the Patanjali Yoga Sutra. This book explains 22 traits which affect the behavior of an individual. To be successful at anything including investing, one must strengthen the traits that are positive and minimized the traits that are negative. It also highlights how veteran investors have knowingly or unknowingly used the winning strategies shared in these old scriptures to create phenomenal wealth. This book has been written as a guide for the modern day investor on how they can make their money work for them by investing it wisely using the ancient wisdom of Yoga Sutra. Anybody who can stay true to the principles outlined in this book and internalize it will surely accelerate the growth of their investments. In essence, it can transform one into “The Yogic Investor”

I have been in the field of investing ever since I was a young teen during the mania of the early 1990s. I have had huge successes and even bigger failures and even bigger success again after that. I made enough money before I was 30 (2004), that ordinary people would not have made in a lifetime. But my short-term emotional thinking, arrogance, and greed in investing, and ignoring and mocking the principles of capital allocation and risk management blew away all those earnings. The world’s greatest investors were successful only because of logic, reason, patience, and discipline. I thought I should share my life's learning over the last 31 years in the art and science of investing. I hope it prevents others from making the mistakes I made until 2018, and straightaway skip all my mistakes and go on to the success I am having since 2019. Over the last 5 years from FY 20-21, as you can see from the cover image taken from my website www.artofrealwealth.com, I have achieved an XIRR of 83% as of August 9, 2024 from FY 20-21. The purpose of this publication is to enable you to manage money wisely and earn a consistent regular income. This publication will enable you to achieve financial freedom. There was something about the high rises that appealed to her particularly. Sometimes, shed wonder whether those high rises had a heart since they were a witness to so much happening around. She would look at them, and just ponder deeply about their existence, her existence, and where she belonged in this naked world. She continued contemplating and looking at those buildings when her eyes rested on the most simple, dilapidated one where Alex Ford worked. She always felt an undiscovered, and unjustified attraction towards that building. Even though it was a high rise, this building was designed differently and was in no way similar to one of those typical architectural skyscrapers that filled the whole of New York. There was something special about this that no words or adjectives could substantiate The tip of the building resembled a cone that went steeper and sharper towards its vertex. Whenever she felt exhausted from the days work or the times when shed be losing her motivation to slog , shed just be staring at the cone, trying to decipher its meaning. Her eyes would move in oscillatory, linear and circulatory movements and shed notice the caricatures even more minutely. What amazed her the most was that no one design was identical to the other. Somewhere they appeared a little cylindrical, and in some places, elliptical. Looking at them, and studying them deeply, Shan could say that each of them had a story to tell.
As the world is shaken by a virus, Shobhaa De – a writer who understands the human heart and how it beats – felt the need to document not just what she is going through personally but what the entire world is experiencing. And out of this need emerged many unique narratives ... Lockdown Liaisons is a collection of short stories, from the varying perspectives of both men and women – young and old, brave and cowardly, cheerful and weighed down – each story a unique offering from a writer who understands how very fragile human relationships can be as they break, suffer and are redefined under trying circumstances. In the grand finale of Lockdown Liaisons we have the story of a girl who was sweet and inconsequential earlier but realizes her own potential for success and fame during the lockdown. Then there is the man who finds true love at a juice stall near his office — in the days before the lockdown starts — but, then, ends up alone at home with his parents, writing letters to a lover who will never read them. We read about the young married couple who find the solution to their woes in a manner that promises them love and happiness, while in the last story of Lockdown Liaisons a ten-year-old writes a sweet and admonishing letter to Uncle Corona!
Most of the content in this book is fiction but some incidents are my personal experiences or happenings that I saw in my social circle. The idea about writing this book is to narrate a unique story for the voracious readers. This book also throws a light on the future existence of word ‘GOD’, as the people with rationale mindset disagree with the traditional belief system until they find a proper logic behind it. The Resurrection Machine invented by the protagonist and his children challenges the existence of ‘GOD’. The mess around this machine goes on with a sweet love story running parallel. This amazing love story continues even after demise of the lovers, who are now stronger than their previous lives. Although my book is intended mainly for entertainment, but at the same time it also emphasizes on the qualities like Hard Work, Honesty and values of life that should be adhered for a happy life.
