The wheel, power, a loop and a hook are the weapons of sun god. His great-phase (Mahadasha) last for six years. The Sun is considered as a high planet, till the tenth degree, in the zodiac of Aries. Lord Shiva is considered to be the deity of the Sun. To get his blessings and for his pacification, performance of ‘Arghya’ (pouring water facing the sun in the morning should be done and also the text of Harivansh purana should be listened to.
