(KJV) That verse promises that God will replace whatever we lose with something of superior value. God's ultimate plan for us is that we establish a right relationship with Him based on trust in His unfailing love and fortified by a belief that He will reward those who diligently seek Him. Psalms 105:3b states: "Let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord." (KJV)

Michael Gray's memoir begins "When I was two years old I drowned" in the frigid waters of Lake Ontario.
