In August 1966, the proportion of households in the United States with one television set or more was 93.4 percent. This was only a slight increase since the previous survey in August 1965, when the corresponding figure was 92.4 percent. Meanwhile, there had been a substantial increase in the proportion of households with two sets or more--from 19.5 percent of all households in August 1965 to 22.6 percent in August 1966. During the same period, there was a reduction from 72.9 to 70.9 in the percent of households with one set.
