In 1805 the governors appropriated the an nual sum of 250 dollars, for the purchase of books and large additions have been made to it, by purchases and donations, from time to time; so that, including the valuable botanical library of Dr. Hosack, lately purchased, the Hospital library now contains about volumes, among which are some of the rarest and most valuable works in medical science.
