Goff (1848-1924), an immigrant from Ireland who was prominent in New York as a lawyer and judge. The appendix, "Ireland's Roll of Honor," contains a complete list of the names of the men killed in the fighting of April 1916 and of those sentenced to penal servitude, hard labor, or prison. The appendix concludes with details of the numbers of men deported and jailed without trial.
