It contains all the marriage and death notices from seven Steuben County, New York, newspapers: The Bath Gazette and Genesee Advertiser, The Constitutionalist, The Steuben Democrat, Steuben Farmer's Advocate, The Voice of the Nation, Steuben American and The Addison Advertiser. Most of the notices pertain to Steuben County residents, although a few concern people who resided elsewhere and had some connection with the county, or who were relatively well-known.
