But what does that mean? This continuation of the popular What Does It Mean to Be...? series provides a nonpartisan point of view perfect for any and all Americans who are proud of who they are--and where they come from, regardless of their political views. DOWNLOAD EBOOKA voice of one crying from the subarctic, prepare ye the way of the Yeshua! His judgment against this nation is right now coming forth, and his second coming is at hand! Hey, America, listen up. In order to properly introduce this book, I must first say I believe in the absolute authority and infallibility of the Holy Scriptures, the Holy Bible. The Bible is the bottom line authority in respect to all of man's life and conduct and reveals the path of salvation to all who are of a true heart. This edition is not meant to be a book on theology but a book of wisdom, a collection of exhortations and reproofs written to America over the last twenty plus years in Yehovah's name. (Yehovah is the ancient name of God; it is my understanding that it is most correctly pronounced Ye-Ho-Vah.) I am certainly not a humorist, but you'll find some humor. I'm not known to be sarcastic, but you'll find some sarcasm. You will not find much of the message to be what you may think of as lighthearted, although I think you will find the illustrations imaginative, human, and very relative. I am not an entertainer; however likely you will be entertained. It is not a work that many would define as politically correct or diplomatic. I will admit I'm far too straightforward to fit into the popular definition of those terms. Simply put, Hey, America, Listen Up is the compilation of expressions of a modern-day watchman whose spirit Yehovah has stirred up to speak warning to this society to the end that people of honest heart might be humbled to courageously turn from every wicked way to follow with enlightenment and singleness of heart the way of the one and only true God who is revealed in the face of Yeshua, even as the greater portion of our nation's founding fathers did. It is a book that predicts the sad and deadly days ahead that will surely fall upon not only this nation, but also every nation of the earth that refuses to turn from ungodliness to seek and serve the living God.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe acclaimed genealogist and New York Times–bestselling author reveals how she solved some of the most fascinating mysteries of family lineage. Part forensic scientist, part master sleuth, Megan Smolenyak has a unique way of digging up our historical roots. She discovered Barack Obama’s Irish ancestry—and his relation to Brad Pitt. She revealed the true story of Ellis Island’s first immigrant, Annie Moore. And she shed light on a startling link between politicians Al Sharpton and Strom Thurmond. In Hey America, Your Roots Are Showing, the “Indiana Jones of genealogy” reveals how she cracked these and other news-making cases. Along the way, she shares her own story of becoming genealogy’s celebrity face. She even explains why her name is squared (Buzzy Jackson, author of Shaking the Family Tree). Whether she's scouring websites to uncover the surprising connections between famous figures or using cutting-edge DNA tests to locate family members of fallen soldiers dating back to the Civil War, Smolenyak's historical sleuthing is as provocative, richly layered, and exciting as America itself. “Megan is a genealogist's dream, a forensic investigator who can also tell a great story.” —Sam Roberts, The New York Times

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis book and its author grew up together. The 1960s in America transformed everyone who lived through this amazing time in our nation’s history. Civil rights laws were fought for and passed; women began to find a voice and break down barriers. Immigrant workers and Native Americans raised their voices. We became a smarter, more aware nation—for a while. The Vietnam War became a symbol of those times. The music helped define us, and the illegal use of banned substances gave some of us the temporary courage to face the insanity head-on. The ranch is a mostly accurate first-person account of one young man’s strange journey from gung ho high school student to landing himself in the middle of the “ world’s most dangerous navy.” Our hero slowly evolves into a war resister who gets into the exact amount of trouble to get assigned to a horse ranch in the U.S. Navy. There are a few rants that I included for mostly therapeutic reasons and several well-chosen fits of profanity that help to paint the military experience as it was and, I believe, still is to this day. I consider this book funny and thoughtful, but then I’m severely prejudiced. I wrote this back cover account myself because George Carlin and Joseph Heller had busy schedules in the afterlife, and I don’t know Sara Silverman—yet. The Ranch is my first attempt at being considered a writer. I have plans to write a second book, which will document my experience as a telephone man in Northeast New Jersey. There will be plenty of danger, sex, drugs, and rock and roll with a hint of The Sopranos, so don’t spoil my enthusiasm and buy this book. Thanks, America.
