Excerpt from Hawaiian Almanac and Annual for 1907: The Reference Book of Information and Statistics Relating to the Territory of Hawaii, of Value to Merchants, Tourists and Others Vancouver, in March, 1792, on his first visit to these islands. Left with Kiana, at Kealakekua, several vine and orange plants, some almonds, and an assortment of garden seeds, varieties not mentioned. At Kawaihae, a chief named Kahaumoku was also given some fine orange plants, an as sortment of garden seeds and a goat and kid.
