China’s New Silk Road initiative constitutes one of the most ambitious projects in recent decades designed to change the pattern of the global economic division of labour as well as the geostrategic balance of power. The Silk Road of the 21st Century, announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013, will certainly change the world.
