These poems reflect my beliefs and my faith in God. I feel that I have grown stronger in my faith since I began writing this book. Many of the poems are about how we make choices in our daily lives. They show love, compassion and humility, which teach applications for living our faith and being the example God has called each of us to be.

The poetry reflects her sense of the rhythm and flow of the topic. The form of the poem also is a reflection of its meaning. Each poem is unique on its own merit. Some poems rhyme; some use a recurring line or lines. Most are free verse and have their own musical flow. “The Time Was November” uses rhyme and this recurring line.

This book was written during a very difficult recovery from pancreatic cancer. I had a nine-and-a-half-hour surgery to remove ten cancerous tumors from my pancreas and duodenum. My entire way of life had changed because of the removal of part of my stomach, pancreas, and intestines. My patience and faith was tested. During this recovery, God gave me poetry and was faithful during this difficult journey.

Maybe once or twice in our lives, God grants us the high honor of meeting someone special-someone who walks so closely with Christ that -for the moment-we are sure that we are walking and talking with our Savior. That is what happened when many years ago God allowed my path to cross that of Marion Woods. From that first encounter, like so many others, I knew that Marion was someone very special. His love of God, his passion and compassion for God's children were so clearly evident and contagious. From then on, I have treasured each moment God has given us together. I urge our mission team members to "lean in close" to drink in every word Marion has to share with us. Likewise, I spend every free moment sitting as close as I can-drinking in every bit of wisdom, every ounce of inspiration and every drop of laughter. God grants us these rare gems only so often and I thank God for the gift of Marion Woods. The Author created this book in the same styling of writing as the Author's do for 'Chicken Soup For The Soul' books. All Stories are true life experiences. Names and Locations changed to protect the identities of all individuals involved. The author was somehow one of the characters of three of the enclosed stories. The fourth short story was on other hand was created using several combined stories that was shared with her; to create one heartwarming story. Each photograph taken and poem was written by the author and shared to help inspire and make a connection between the reader and stories being told.I The Author hopes you the reader will find enlightenment.
