This Standard specifies the terms, symbols, basic profile and size of taper threads and cylindrical pipe threads for gas cylinders. This Standard applies to the taper thread for connection of the opening of the gas cylinder to the cylinder valve, and the cylindrical pipe thread for connection of the valve protection cap to the neck ring. The taper thread for connection of fusible plug of the gas cylinder with safety device to plug seat can also refer to this Standard.
