Publicación orientada tanto a los alumnos que se enfrentan con un primer curso de estadística en disciplinas más de corte social y humanístico que científico como a quellos que al cabo del tiempo necesitan un repaso o puesta a punto. Los contenidos tienen que ver con la estadística descriptiva, con psicometría y con una selección de métodos de análisis que permiten dar respuesta a muchas preguntas de investigación.
La Estadística constituye actualmente un instrumento esencial en el estudio de los fenómenos sociales. Su correcto aprendizaje y su uso riguroso es fundamental para la interpretación y la elaboración de conclusiones válidas en estudios realizados en los ámbitos económicos, sociológicos, educativos o jurídicos. Este manual se ha elaborado para proporcionar a los estudiantes de los grados de la rama de Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas un primer contacto con la Estadística Descriptiva y es fruto de la experiencia docente de los autores en dichos grados. The two-volume set LNAI 10061 and 10062 constitutes the proceedings of the 15th Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, MICAI 2016, held in Cancún, Mexico, in October 2016.
