In a World of Savage Desires and Alien Pursuits, Carnal Obsession Ignites! Drix's clan has revived a forbidden female hunting game, and he couldn't be more excited. Yet, when a motley crew of females is brought before them, disappointment simmers within him, especially at the sight of an unknown, translucent-skinned species that repulses him. Strangely, her fragility awakens forbidden desires he can't deny. But their leader's invitation to a rival Prumiqion clan turns the game deadly. Both leaders covet the unknown female, and the hunt for her becomes a dangerous obsession. In a battle of alpha males, Drix will stop at nothing to make her his, even if it means killing to possess her. For Marcella, a routine run in the woods spirals into a nightmarish abduction. Dumped in a mysterious forest alongside terrified alien women, she's not afraid of the eerie forest sounds but of a massive, horned, purple alien with a sinister look in his eyes. His desire to claim her sets her on edge, and she's thrust into a race for her life. In this perilous pursuit, where primal urges and deadly pursuits collide, Marcella and the others must outrun the alpha males or face unspeakable horrors. The stakes are high, and the desire burns hotter than ever. Welcome to a world where survival means embracing savage passions and facing alien lusts head-on!" All my scifi romance books are enemies to lovers standalone stories. However, characters from my stories appear throughout the series linking the world I’m building. My stories have everything—action, adventure, fighting, alien males, feisty strong females, romance, love, and steam. But most important of all, they all have happy ever after endings.

Beaumont was born when the thickly wooded banks of the Neches River were settled in the 1820s. Businessmen and adventurers stayed in the area once they saw the advantages of the river and the region's abundance of timber and other agricultural resources. By 1880, Beaumont was a lumber, ranching, farming, and shipping center. The railroad spurred population growth from 2,500 to 5,000, then Providence intervened: the Lucas Gusher at Spindletop blew in on January 10, 1901, and suddenly more oil than had ever been seen ushered in a new world. The Rockefeller Standard Oil monopoly may have ended in the courts, but Spindletop's oil dwarfed the known world supply, creating companies like Humble Oil (now ExxonMobil), Gulf, and Texaco. Beaumont continued to grow, and with a second boom in 1925, flowing oil brought more people and the building of a gracious city.

The Jazz Age was a boom time in the Bluff City. Murder was rampant, and politics were rough-and-tumble. First, Mayor Rowlett Paine and Boss E.H. Crump joined forces to fight the local Ku Klux Klan (and nearly lost). Then they turned on each other, and the political battle ensued. Other colorful characters weaving in and out of the story include Black political leader "Bob" Church, millionaire Clarence Saunders, Governor Austin Peay, evangelist Billy Sunday and even William Jennings Bryan. The city went on a building spree and a bootleg booze binge even as cotton prices plummeted. The Great Flood of 1927 added more strife with the addition of local refugees. Author Robert Lanier details these fascinating stories and more.

After the phenomenal success of Old York Beach, John Bardwell has responded with a new pictorial history that explores in even greater depth the rich historic fabric of the community. Old York Beach: Volume II combines more than two hundred delightful images with insightful captions to create an entertaining and informative visual history that is sure to captivate residents and tourists alike. Through the lens of a camera you will see the area evolve from a small fishing and farming village into the idyllic seashore resort that we know today. You will witness great Victorian hotels rise and fall; observe bustling streets; and see people--some of whom you may recognize--enjoying the beach, sailing, having cookouts, and reveling in the natural beauty of the area. In addition, there are images that document how the area adapted to the changing needs of new generations, as cabins became motels, parking lots replaced train stations, tenting grounds became trailer parks, and the dance halls at St. Aspinquid Park and the York Beach Casino were replaced by lounges in hotels and restaurants.
