Before, Jodie and John can reach Thomas with the good news, he is once more pressed into service when Hanna brother is kidnapped, his life hangs by a thread. Between Thomas and Mr Larey, they manage to save Ian but, the exertion has been too much for Thomas and his final act of bravery ends in the tragedy of his death.
