When Marco, Suzy and Jo arrive at the Schloss Montrosa, a castle full of magic, mystery and microchips, to stay with their secret scientist uncle Professor Egbert Able for their summer holidays, they very quickly get more than they bargained for! They don’t realise that the strange riddle they find in the Schloss library will lure them on a quest with a mission to save the Universe. There are many problems to be solved, not least to find their uncle who has been abducted by an evil Marzipan, and to find the last clue of the riddle – a silver horse. It leads them to a crazy world of aliens and monsters that almost brings about their undoing. Worse still, when they finally reach their goal in the city of Spondoola, they are imprisoned by its king, the vicious, greedy Spondoolix. The race is on to bring their uncle home in one piece, but have they underestimated who they’re up against..? Starganzia is a thrilling tale of outer-space adventures that will appeal to future space explorers aged 7-11.

Some nicknames are given by others, while some nicknames are derived by the individual. Whatever the case, the nickname is unique to that person. Although some individuals may have the same nickname, but from where that nickname was derived from is unique. We have compiled over 3,500 different and unique nicknames in alphabetical order, but we didnt stop there. We decided to add a little humor by thinking out loud and wondering why someone has such a nickname.

"Seeking Identity: Language in Society" looks at how we define and create identity both as individuals and as a society through language. Our language choices reflect not only how we view ourselves, but how we are viewed by society. An individual's identity is reflected in various language construed identities: ethnicity, gender, and cross-cultural/counter cultural. In turn these identities are projected by society on the individual/ethnic group by the language choices society makes in describing and addressing these individuals. In the first section (Language and Identity), an ethnolinguistic approach is used to address the areas of language identity/loyalty, gender, and ethnic pride. Section two (Language and Advertising) looks at how society in turn uses language to relate to different groups by appealing to ethnic pride, language identity, and the power/prestige that using a particular language variety entails. Section three (Language and the Media) explores how the media contributes to our construction of identity. Section four (Language and Discourse) shows how written discourse can appropriate, construct, and parody identity.

The English Language Word Builder organizes English words in a way that is beneficial to anyone wishing to improve their vocabulary, from those learning the English language through to those wishing to excel at word games such as Scrabble. The book contains the basic form of some 82,500 words from two to nine letters in length, and is organized in chapters depending on the word length. Within each chapter, words are designated as either familiar or less familiar, with the familiar words deemed to be those of most use when communicating in English. With the exception of less familiar nine-letter words, each word is assigned a part of speech which is evident from formatting applied. For example, underlining indicates verbs while bold type indicates adjectives and other words that cannot be pluralized. Symbols are used to indicate additional forms of each basic word, with a special symbol being used to designate irregular verbs. Within sections of familiar words in each chapter, words are grouped in accordance with their part of speech. Within sections of less familiar words, words are grouped firstly into those which are built from shorter words, and then into all other words with various groupings depending on the word length. Available single letter extensions of basic words are shown by a lower case letter at the end of each capitalized main word. This enables users of the book to build on their existing vocabulary to make new words, either for use in word games or in communicating in English.
