Then, with Barbara Stanwyck, she made the controversial movie "Walk On The Wild Side" shot in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Her fourth film was "The Pink Panther' with Peter Sellers, David Niven, Robert Wagner, and Claudia Cardinale. Capucine played Inspector Clouseau's cheating, scheming wife Simone. Directors loved having Capucine in their pictures because she had a fabulous sense of humor and rivaled David Niven for side-splitting practical jokes. At the same time, she was a true professional on the set. Capucine made thirty-six films and was involved in seventeen TV productions, but because of birth problems, her love life went poorly and even her best friend Audrey Hepburn couldn't save her.
