Tiege Cantey was born in 1620 in County Cork, Ireland. He married Elizabeth. They had five known children. They immigrated to Barbados. In 1672 they immigrated to South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in South Carolina, Alabama, Florida and elsewhere.
Annie Sinclair Cantey, daughter of John James Cantey and Nancy Evans, was born in 1848 in Midway Township, Clarendon County, South Carolina. She married John Edward (Lawrence) Langley (1852-1925). They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina.
