The intent of this piece is to look at the “hopes and optimism” bestowed 10 years ago when the Modi Government (MG)assumed office and how the schemes and mantras have transformed India in the last 10 years. Introspecting and uncovering such “hope and optimism” then in 2014 that was kept alive and transformed into faith and trust in Modi led Government over these years. The big cruncher here is that would it be like crossing the bridge when we come to it or there is something on the cards way forward with mantras to achieve them with MG while anaemic job creation, pressures boiling over, fuelling protests and conflicts, corruption, social inequalities and such other factors are constantly barrelling down the initiatives. As such there is a lot of turmoil around still that one can see but very fortunately there’s a bunch of people that has made it all worthwhile so far but the apprehension floating is about how far. Is it like getting a bunch of ace drivers and then getting caught up in a traffic jam and leaving them there. The book is teeming with little ideas that India can do. Most Indians are giddy about their country’s economic prospects as to whether would it sustain fulfilling the aspirations on the ball to take Bharat to the next trajectory of happiness and quality of lives of the people.
