DOWNLOAD EBOOKExtract: The general purpose of this report was to concentrate available information on Georgia's forests, with particular reference to the small woodlot owners, in a way that it can be utilized better by these forest owners, potential small woodlot owners, and others interested in their welfare. The specific objectives were: (1) to indicate the ownership and distribution of forests in Georgia and to present an assessment of the timber situation; (2) to present the recommended forest management practices that were available; and (3) to pinpoint some problem areas relevant to small woodlot owners.
