The Petri Net conferences serve as annual meeting places to discuss the progress in the ?eld of Petri nets and related models of conc- rency. They provide a forum for researchers to present and discuss both app- cations and theoretical developments in this area. In addition, the conf- ences always welcome a range of invited talks that survey related domains, as well as satellite events such as tutorials and workshops. The 2008 conference had six invited speakers, two advanced tutorials, and four workshops.
