It is a slender plant With small leaves and it is exceedingly hardy, as the temperature not infrequently falls to 65 and 70 F. Below zero. Transplanted to good garden soil both species become voluptuaries. They grow to great size, send out numerous runners, but very few blossoms, and produce scarcely any berries.
