DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from Annual Report of the Administrative Office of the Courts, 1969 During 1969, the Supreme Court wrote 67 opinions. Full Opinions were written in 65 cases, one of which was an advisory opinion, and two Opinions were per curiam. Of these opinions, 36 dealt with civil cases and 31 dealt with criminal cases. The court affirmed the lower court in 27 cases and took corrective action in 40 cases. The Supreme Court considered 102 petitions for certiorari from the Court of Appeals. With the appointment of three additional judges in July, 1969, the Court of Appeals is now fully staffed. The court, sitting in panels of three, considered 584 cases during 1969. This is only two more than the number considered in 1968. The great majority of the 496 appeals (255 civil and 241 criminal) came from the superior court. Sixty-nine cases came from the district court, 13 from the Industrial Commission and 6 from the Utilities Commission. The court affirmed the lower bodies in 403 cases and took corrective action in 179. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
