The expense is not great for such a trip; the sea voyage, under ordinary circumstances, does not extend over ten days, while the accommodation and cuisine on board ship are excellent. I much prefer the Inman Line of trans-atlantic steam ships to all others, and I therefore recommend them, for the reason that the officers are more obliging and willing to afford information than those I have sailed with in other lines.
