DOWNLOAD EBOOKElmer Towns is known around the world as cofounder of the world's largest Christian university and as author of more than 175 popular books on prayer, spirituality, and the church. His is also known as a motivator par excellence of men and women who long to be exceptional for the cause of Christ. But not many people know that a long "desert experience" lies behind Towns's extraordinary success, an experience that taught him how to be, in the words of the apostle Paul, "crucified with Christ" (Galatians 2:20). In these memoirs, one of the modern church's most influential teachers shares his fascinating life story, drawing out principles that can be applied by anyone seeking to become great in God's kingdom. Leaders and students alike will be challenged to greater faithfulness and encouraged to seek God more deeply.

DOWNLOAD EBOOK“A wonderful picture of how God can use any person regardless of their past.” —Roma Downey, Emmy®-nominated actress and producer Pastor Benny Tate never faced a time that wasn’t filled with obstacles. Each season of life came with setbacks that often seemed insurmountable: the abusive father figure who tormented Benny and his mother, the lack of guidance in his early adulthood, and the illness and infertility he and his wife battled in their marriage. Yet in every crisis, God was there to redeem pain for glory, transforming Benny’s life into a moving testament to His power. Through his struggles, Benny’s faith grew as he saw how God provided him with the strength, wisdom, and resources he needed to overcome each staggering challenge placed before him. In parts a memoir that will tug on your heartstrings, a guide to get you through tough times, and a reminder to never see yourself as the victim of your own life, Defy the Odds will inspire your soul as it proves that you follow a God who can—and will—see you through the impossible.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKAfter years of observation, I have concluded that so many local churches function without regard to their God-given, biblical mission and objectives because of their unclear mission, their unbiblical targets, or their unbalanced objectives. The Lord God has already given His church a clearly defined mission for the present age. Yet so many local churches seem to function without understanding their biblical mission their God-directed reason for existence while other local churches and their leaders have revised or even compromised their God-given mission, thinking that they know better than God. Some churches disband Sunday school, dismantle the choir, and disassemble pews only to replace them with other programs and ideas that will become traditional soon enough. Traditions, customs, and worship styles vary from culture to culture and from generation to generation. I've been in the gospel ministry long enough to have seen the pendulum swing back and forth a time or two. So many ministries, programs, concepts, and styles are not new, but just repackaged. Today's "new," "fresh," "blended" methods will become "traditional" to the next generation after a short period of time. Too often we are more involved in following the latest fad than we are in striving to "do all to the glory of God." What really matters is whether you have presented a true and accurate opinion and view of the nature and character of God so that others will praise and exalt Him to His worthy place of honor, esteem, and excellence.
