DOWNLOAD EBOOKExcerpt from The Sixty-Ninth Annual Report of the Columbus State Hospital to the Governor of the State of Ohio for the Fiscal Year Ending Nov; 15, 1907 We take great pleasure in reporting a season of unusual health among the inmates. There has been no epidemic of any kind. Since we have been using our drilled water exclusively, as I reported last year, we have had but few cases of typhoid fever. The two cases which we had this year were both of a mild type, and we have every reason to believe the disease was contracted outside of the hospital. There has been a decided increase in our percentage Of recoveries notwithstanding the fact that a large percentage of our admissions have been Old infirm cases. This we believe is largely due to the introduction of our hydrotherapy outfit, and the segregation, as nearly as possible, in the Greer Cottage of our acute hopeful cases.
