We present the results of the searches for new phenomena in pp collisions at √s=1.8 TeV with the CDF detector using the full data sample of 110 pb−1 collected between 1992 and 1995. We have searched for new physics in events with two photons, testing some of the hypotheses proposed to explain the appearance of the CDF ee[gamma][gamma] E{sub T} event. New results on the search for a heavy neutral scalar object, charged Higgs bosons (H{sup {+-}}) and the scalar top quark are presented. Finally we summarize the CDF results on the search for third generation leptoquarks.

The authors report on the first results from the CDF experiment on search for physics beyond the Standard Model using data from the upgraded TeVatron collider running p{bar p} collisions at (square root)s = 1960 GeV. One of the fundamental roles of a general purpose detector exploring, by means of increasing luminosity, higher and higher mass reach, is to search for new particles and exotic phenomena. This is a continuing effort for the CDF collaboration, and will report on several searches using about 20 pb−1 from the 1992/93 run labelled {open_quotes}run 1a{close_quotes} and (approximately)50 of the 90 pb−1 so far from the current {open_quotes}run 1b.{close_quotes} These are mostly preliminary analyses, typically using a total of 70 pb−1. Our limits on SUSY using missing E{sub T} with jets as well as three leptons are discussed elsewhere; results from the D0 collaboration are similar. I will discuss searches for additional vector bosons Z(prime) and W(prime), second generation scalar leptoquarks, as well as a broad search for objects decaying into jet pairs, including b-tagged jet pairs. I will also describe two events which do not fit in comfortably with either the standard model or a phenomenologically motivated search.

The 1997 International Europhysics Conference on High Energy Physics was held at the campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the Jerusalem Renaissance Hotel, from August 19th to August 25th, 1997. This was the first time that the European Physical Society had its High Energy Physics Conference outside the boundary of Europe. A total of 550 physicists participated in the conference with a total of 250 presentations in the parallel sessions and 26 presentations in the plenary sessions. The Board of the of the High Energy and Particle Physics division (HEPP) of the EPS acted as the Scientific Organizing Committee. The Board acknowl edges the help of the International Advisory Committee as well as that of the Local Organizing Committee. The conference was co-organized by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and by the Weizmann Institute of Science, with important help by physi cists from the Israeli Institute of Technology (Technion) and the Tel Aviv University.
