DOWNLOAD EBOOKData recorded by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider are analyzed to search for neutral Higgs bosons produced in association with b quarks. The search is performed in the three-b-quark channel using multijet-triggered events corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb−1. In the absence of any significant excess above background, limits are set on the cross section multiplied by the branching ratio in the Higgs boson mass range 90 to 300 GeV, extending the excluded regions in the parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric standard model.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe Higgs mechanism preserves the gauge symmetries of the Standard Model while giving masses to the W, Z bosons. Supersymmetry, which protects the Higgs boson mass scale from quantum corrections, predicts at least 5 Higgs bosons, none of which has been directly observed. This thesis presents a search for neutral Higgs bosons, produced in association with bottom quarks. The production rate is greatly enhanced at large values of the Supersymmetric parameter tan {beta}. High-energy p{bar p} collision data, collected from Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron using the D0 detector, are analyzed. In the absence of a signal, values of tan {beta}> 80-120 are excluded at 95% Confidence Level (C.L.), depending on the (CP-odd) neutral Higgs boson mass (studied from 100 to 150 GeV/c{sup 2}).

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe analysis described in this thesis is the search for the Higgs boson, decaying into bb pair, in the associated production with a vector boson, in the extreme Higgs boson transverse momentum region where the Higgs boson is reconstructed using the large-R jet technique. The use of the large-R jets allows to add a part of the phase space unexplored so far, which is particularly sensitive to possible new physics. The analysed data have been collected at LHC by the ATLAS detector between 2015 and 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 13 TeV. The same dataset has been used to perform the differential pp → ZH and pp → WH cross-section measurements used to extract the information on the Higgs couplings and to put limits on Beyond the Standard Model effects. Furthermore the analysis has been re-used to perform a cross-section measurement of the diboson ZZ and WZ processes because the diboson and the Higgs processes have a similar topology. For the first time the ZZ(bb) and WZ(bb) cross-sections are measured at √s = 13 TeV and the observed cross-section measurements are consistent with the Standard Model predictions.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKWe report results of searches for neutral supersymmetric Higgs Bosons in up to 2.7 fb−1 of data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The final states include muons, taus, and jets from the decay of b hadrons. The searches observe no significant excess and set upper limits on neutral Higgs production cross sections. The limits are also translated into exclusions of MSSM parameter space.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKWe present two searches for the Higgs boson in {radical}s = 1.96 TeV p{bar p} collisions using data taken with the D0 detector during Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The first study is a search for neutral Higgs bosons produced in association with bottom quarks. The cross sections for these processes are enhanced in many extensions of the standard model (SM), such as in its minimal supersymmetric extension at large tan {beta}. The results of our analysis agree with expectations from the SM, and we use our measurements to set upper limits on the production of neutral Higgs bosons in the mass range of 90 to 150 GeV. The second study is a search for the standard model Higgs boson produced in association with the Z boson. We study the p{bar p} {yields} ZH {yields} {nu}{bar {nu}}b{bar b} channel, which is one of the most sensitive ways to search for light Higgs bosons at the Tevatron. We select multijet events with large imbalance in transverse momentum and two b-tagged jets. Then we search for a peak in invariant mass distribution of two b-tagged jets. After subtracting the backgrounds, we set the 95% C.L. upper limits on the {sigma}(p{bar p} {yields} ZH {yields} {nu}{bar {nu}}) x BR(H {yields} b{bar b}) for Higgs masses between 105 and 135 GeV.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis Thesis describes the first measurement of, and constraints on, Higgs boson production in the vector boson fusion mode, where the Higgs decays to b quarks (the most common decay channel), at the LHC. The vector boson fusion mode, in which the Higgs is produced simultaneously with a pair of quark jets, provides an unparalleled opportunity to study the detailed properties of the Higgs, including the possibility of parity and CP violation, as well as its couplings and mass. It thus opens up this new field of study for precision investigation as the LHC increases in energy and intensity, leading the way to this new and exciting arena of precision Higgs research.
