Since January lst sales have been made of Library bonds. These bonds bear interest at per cent, but the price is below par, so that the purchaser will net 4% per cent interest. These are considered very attractive bonds for investment purposes. The Treasurer is advertising that he will purchase any bonds that mature next July. For 5 per cent bonds he will pay 2 per cent premium, and for 4 per cents one-half of one percent premium, and for per cents he will pay the par value.
